As a person-centered therapist, my goal is to listen to you, to teach skills, and to walk with you in this stage of your journey. While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve the challenges in your life today.
By applying therapy techniques from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), narrative therapy, DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy), and a variety of other proven methodologies, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I believe awareness is the first step towards a positive change in our circumstances. From there, my job is to help you make changes that will improve your overall quality of life.

It’s no secret that life can be challenging at times. As a therapist, I collaborate with you in working through those challenges by listening to your experiences and identifying your strengths. We will approach problems by exploring past experiences, current stressors, and thought patterns and behaviors that may be causing distress. I will help you to implement new coping skills to respond to your challenges. I will also support you as you journey through the change process. I went into this field because I have a passion for helping people grow and overcome life’s challenges.
